The Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library's
mission is to provide the means by which people of all ages, interests,
and circumstances may avail themselves of the recorded wisdom,
experiences and ideas of others. Professional librarians assemble,
organize and make accessible materials which offer opportunities for
personal, educational, cultural and recreational enrichment; they
develop collections, services, and programs which respond to individual
and community needs. The library employs a skilled staff and the latest
technologies to facilitate and enhance the use of library resources.
The management and staff are committed to excellence in all facets of
the library's service and operation and support the democratic ideals
upon which the American public library is founded.
